General Information

Akademisk kvart is a housing platform that connects students in Stockholm with private individuals who want to rent out all or part of their home. The platform is run by students, for students, with the goal of creating a safer, more transparent, and more reasonable housing market. So that all students can find a home during their studies.

Why Akademisk kvart?

The housing market for students in Stockholm is often difficult to navigate – both for those looking for housing and for those who want to rent out. Unclear rules, uncertainty around rents, and lack of trust create unnecessary stress for both parties. Akademisk kvart exists to reduce these obstacles through clear guidelines, explanatory information, and a shared focus on reasonable conditions. Akademisk kvart is therefore aimed at landlords who have the ability and willingness to rent under conditions that students can afford.

We offer

  • Safe housing - the listings are manually reviewed by us to ensure safe housing with fair conditions.
  • Fair rents - we target landlords who can and want to rent under conditions that students can afford.
  • No housing queue - we welcome all students, at any time during their studies.
  • Student focus - we mediate different types of housing across the region, with serious landlords who want to help students and contribute to a better housing market.
  • Support and guidance - we support both landlords and students throughout the process. Our vision is to make it easy to do right and help you find the right match immediately.
  • Non-profit - Akademisk kvart is free to use and is run on a non-profit basis by Stockholm's student unions.
