About Us
Who Are We?
Akademisk Kvart is run on a non-profit basis by Stockholm Federation of Student Unions (SSCO). The platform was created to make it easier for students in Stockholm to find housing at a reasonable rent.
We broker rooms and apartments from private individuals who want to rent out to students. Our goal is to contribute to a more accessible and transparent housing market, where rents are at a level that is reasonable in relation to students' finances.
Using the platform is free, both for those looking for housing and for those who want to rent out. To use the service, you need to create an account.
Akademisk Kvart was founded in 2011 and is financed by the five largest universities in Stockholm: Stockholm University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Södertörn University, Karolinska Institutet, and the Stockholm School of Economics.
